Tax Allocation District Update
After several years of hard work by the City of Stone Mountain and the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Stone Mountain the State of Georgia has certified our Tax Allocation District (TAD). The TAD is a major effort by the city to encourage and enable redevelopment and revitalization efforts in the downtown. The TAD District encompasses most of the downtown and allows the DDA to focus money generated from property taxes downtown back into the district.For more information on what a TADs click on the Revitalize tab at the top of the page.
